The Artist Series reimagines iconic paintings through the intricate craft of quilling, turning brushstrokes into delicate paper forms. Each card is handcrafted over several hours, transforming a famous work of art into a striking piece that can be sent to someone special or framed and kept as art in its own right.
The Scream was created in 1893 by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. The oil painting is widely recognized as a powerful expression of the human condition and emotional anxiety.
Munch first described the experience behind the image in his diary, referring to “a great infinite scream through nature,” which later inspired the visual composition. The work is part of his larger series titled The Frieze of Life, which explores themes of love, fear, and existential distress.
